Watsonville residents could become tree parents thanks to a partnership program between the City of Watsonville and Watsonville Wetlands Watch program offering free fruit and shade trees for residents to plant in their homes. Residents can adopt trees by joining in-person monthly tree adoption workshops teaching residents how to care for their trees.
The next workshop will take place on March 26 at 2 p.m. at 120 2nd St., or on April 23 at Callaghan Park.
