Watsonville Fire Captain Returns Home After Hunting Accident
Watsonville Fire Department Captain Danny Lucas got a surprise homecoming.
WATSONVILLE, CA — A Watsonville Fire Department captain who was critically injured in a Montana hunting accident in late November returned home Monday to a surprise welcome.
Captain Danny Lucas flew into a local airport and was greeted by a throng of well-wishers near the tarmac. Watsonville firefighters and police officers; family and friends; and firefighters from the Scotts Valley Fire District, Aptos/La Selva Fire District and Cal Fire were on hand, according to the Watsonville Fire Department.
