WATSONVILLE, CA — Police in Watsonville were investigating a weekend incident that left an 18-year-old in serious condition, officials said.

Authorities were dispatched to the 100 block of Riverside Drive Saturday, where reports of a shooting were received around 8:45 p.m., according to the Watsonville Police Department.

The victim sustained apparent gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital with "life-threatening injuries," police said. No other details were immediately available.
