Watsonville Teenagers Seriously Injured In DUI Crash: Report
Two Watsonville teenagers and an 18-year-old from Salinas were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries over the weekend.

WATSONVILLE, CA β Four area young people were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries over the weekend after a crash suspected to be related to driving under the influence, KION reported.
The 17-year-old driver from Salinas was hospitalized and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Two Watsonville girls, ages 16 and 17, were passengers in his car, as was an 18-year-old Watsonville man, KION reported.
Their car sped westbound along Beach Street near Clearwater Lane when the driver lost control of his car, which headed into a ditch, hit a pole, became airborne on its way out of the ditch, flipped over and landed wheels-down in a field, the California Highway Patrol told KION.

Two passengers were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the car, the station reported.
