Woman Seriously Injured By Hit-And-Run Driver In Watsonville

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver who left a woman seriously injured.

Newly obtained video footage offers a good look at the truck that hit the woman shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday on Freedom Boulevard. The video shows the truck is dark-colored, a single cab and has oversized chrome rims.

After striking the woman, the person behind the wheel drove off.

The victim, in her mid-20s, was flown to an out-of-county hospital with major injuries but is now in stable condition, according to Watsonville police.
