Is Your Home in Need of Repairs or Renovation?

The City of Watsonville’s Community Development Department provides assistance to low-income homeowners who need help in repairing and/or renovating their homes. The assistance, for a limited time, is in the form of 30-year deferred zero interest loans, so you make no payments until you sell or transfer your home.

Eligible improvements include repairs/renovations to correct code violations, repair/replacement of failing building components, upgrades to correct structural deficiencies, improvements to address disabled access needs. All work and costs are evaluated on a case by case basis and includes construction oversight at no additional cost. Loan funds may only be used for work that has been approved by the Department and has not been completed prior to applying for assistance.
