15 Days 'Til Halloween And It's 'Game On!' in West Hollywood

If you're stressed about what to wear...a newbie bar/restaurant on the Carnaval's main drag should fret it could be roadkill by morning.

Anyone who thinks gay men are losing their clout in WEHO hasn't been paying attention...when the queen of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, whose spin-off series, "Lisa Vanderpump Rules," opened her bar and restaurant at one of the most trafficked corners of LGBTQ nightlife in the entire world, she wasn't making cost cuts when she shortened her name to "Pump," it was due to the combined flexed muscles of hundreds of six-packs and push-up bras.

She seems to have hit the right beat with her just opened, new restaurant, Tom Tom, in partnership with her husband and the tandem beating of drums and hearts of hunks pumped out from her LVR series, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval, top tier beefcake eye candy on 364 days of the year, one less to worry about, now that Gay Pride has moved on down the road to DTLA with Gay Pride Parade’s de riguer rainbow colors. Still, at the biggest Halloween masquerade party on the planet, will they bare all every day of the week outdoor decor and nothing even a teeny weenie meanie extra? The exterior looks especially naked next to a still only half dressed old standby, Motherlode.

New restaurant, "Beaches" has even more pressure, without pumped-up celebrities to pave the way, and the owner laughed off any ties to Bette Midler and sandy Cape Cod beaches about which she sang, without a trace of nervousness. His refusal to be photographed in his work clothes bodes well for thoughtful Halloween decor still to come.

One only needs to see the interior decoration inside to realize he is his own hardest act to follow onto the sidewalk. There's no greater pressure to get it done right, than the prospect of becoming a tromp l'oeille painted exterior in reverse, when thousands of taste savants side swipe it in perpetual motion as they pass by, as if 3-dimensions pressed into two.

Stay tuned... we will haunt these haunts again.
