• L.A. Mayor Bass Catches Up as West Hollywood Arrests Illegal Vendors for Other Violations (wehoonline.com) — West Hollywood deputies have begun arresting some unlicensed hot dog vendors, not for vending itself, but for related violations like blocking sidewalks, curfew issues with minors, and providing false ID. As Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass realigns LAPD policy with California's decriminalized vending law, West Hollywood's focus has shifted to whether the city will consistently enforce the many other laws surrounding late‑night street vending.
   

• Doubt declared about mental competency of LA model accused in dating app burglaries (nbclosangeles.com) — A model accused of targeting victims in West Hollywood and other upscale areas through dating apps has had her criminal case paused while a court reviews her mental competency. Prosecutors say she stole cash and luxury items, and note that her former fiancé, billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, was separately arrested in West Hollywood on charges of trying to dissuade witnesses in her case.
