WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — "Leave Your Marc," a free community event featuring classes such as Vogue Femme, Runway and Face, panel discussions, a Q&A session and a mock ball, is set for Nov. 6 at the Plummer Park Great Hall.
Hosted by the House of Marc Jacobs and created by Karin Tatsuoka, also known as Karin Marc Jacobs, the event aims to connect West Hollywood's LGBTQ+ community with the ballroom community while celebrating ballroom's history, artistry and legacy, organizers said.
Experienced ballroom artists and community members will lead activities in a welcoming, inclusive setting where participants can learn from ballroom veterans, connect across generations and express themselves.
People of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, including dancers discovering vogue for the first time.
The project is partially supported by a grant from the city of West Hollywood.
