Beat The Heat At The West Hollywood Cooling Center
The City of West Hollywood is offering free cooling centers to enjoy quiet activities in.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA – Due to the climbing temperatures and excessive heat, from now until Thursday, August 31 the City of West Hollywood’s Cooling Center will be activated from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Plummer Park’s Community Center Senior Lounge, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. Open hours will be extended for additional days if high temperatures persist, according to the press release.
The cooling center is available for quiet activities, and people are encouraged to bring books or board games. Community members may also visit the West Hollywood Library, which serves as a Los Angeles County Cooling Center, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The City of West Hollywood provides free transportation to Plummer Park and to the West Hollywood Library through its CityLine service, which operates Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and shuttles arrive approximately every 30 minutes.
