One Solution to Sunset Strip Gridlock
Restricted parking along Sunset Boulevard could add an additional lane to the Strip and possibly help ease traffic.
While I was driving on Fountain Avenue the other day and seeing the signs of no street parking from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., I suddenly realized that was the solution for Sunset Strip.
So let's do this on Sunset Boulevard. Just make it from Doheny to Crescent Heights and this would increase traffic flow by adding one additonal traffic lane going each way east and west. Then we could have three traffic lanes going east and three traffic lanes going west during rush hour in the morning and evening.
This would then ease the bottleneck and gridlock we now have on Sunset Boulevard.

I emailed my suggestion to the City Council and to the various other departments at City Hall, so let’s see if my idea can be implemented right away.
