TONY SHALHOUB & JOSIE ADAMS in conversation with AMY BRENNEMAN

TONY SHALHOUB & JOSIE ADAMS in conversation with AMY BRENNEMAN

Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe winner Tony Shalhoub pens a memoir with his daughter Josie Adams about food, family, recipes and the stories we pass around the table. WE THOUGHT THEY'D NEVER LEAVE is the literary debut for Shalhoub. Together with his daughter, this book is a humorous and heartfelt portrait of place, family and food. Part memoir and part family-history, readers share the annual Shalhoub summer reunion in Door County, Wisconsin, a tradition which pulls the 10 siblings, their children and grandchildren back to the same stretch of land. Rich vignettes and thoughtful reflections on the meals, mishaps and small moments over the many summers spent together. Along the way, Shalhoub includes several family recipes which have withstood the test of time.

Best known for his roles in "Monk," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," and "Wings," Shalhoub has also appeared in dozens of acclaimed film and TV projects. On Broadway, he won the Tony for "The Band's Visit." Josie Adams is a writer, producer and founder of House of Water, an independent production company.  She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.

Amy Brenneman is a founder member of Cornerstone Theater Company, known for its site-specific theater on themes of social justice. Among her many credits as an actor, are "Judging Amy," based on the work of her mother, the Honorable Judge Frederica Brenneman.
