Cedars-Sinai Donates $4.8M To Underserved L.A. Populations

The money will go towards groups that focus on helping homelessness, at-risk youth, and immigrants, among others.​

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA – Cedars-Sinai Medical Center announced that it's giving $4.8 million to programs that address the physical and mental health needs of underserved populations in the Los Angeles area this year. The programs served include those focusing on homelessness, at-risk youth, immigrants and others.

The money represents a third year of grants intended to "strengthen the social safety net" in the Los Angeles area, according to a Cedars statement.

Cedars is seeking "to increase financial, administrative and leadership effectiveness at community clinics and mental health organizations," it said. "The goal is to increase access and reduce disparities to those in need of health services."
