Celebrating 29 Years of Laughs with Hallmark's Shoebox Relaunch
Comedians join Shoebox for an entertaining birthday event
There’s no shortage of events in Los Angeles, and not many leave you crying with laughter, but on June 10th, Hallmark’s Shoebox line of greeting cards celebrated 29 years of laughs with a star-studded – and hilarious – birthday celebration.
Tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, red carpet divas, copy-machine selfies and sassy Shoebox cards for the taking were some of the highlights at Hallmark’s Shoebox Relaunch event at the Improv in Hollywood. Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Cheryl Burke (Dancing with the Stars), and Molly Burnett (Days of Our Lives) were among the stars celebrating the company’s makeover, which was hosted by actor and comedian Rob Riggle.
Neal Brennan (Comedy Central’s Chappelle’s Show) created lots of laughs with his spot-on observations about men and women. You Tube personality Colleen Ballinger, and comedians Heather McDonald (TLC’s All About Sex) and Loni Love (The Real) followed suit.

The fiercely hilarious Josh Wolf (Chelsea Lately) brought the house down with his edgy performance alongside actor and comedian Jeff Wild. The talented duo performed a musical act that showcased their off-color humor, proving to be a perfect fit for the evening’s “Hallmark Approved, Sorta” theme.
While Hallmark’s Shoebox greeting cards have made their way into our hearts since 1986, this new collection takes a more contemporary, irreverent approach. More outrageous and warm-hearted than ever, Shoebox cards continue to make comedians out of all of us, no matter what the occasion.
