David Dayan Fisher Presents Manifest

An Evening of Art Benefitting Animals in Need

As an actor, writer and artist, one would think that David Dayan Fisher discovered his passion for the arts at an early age. But Fisher’s journey was anything but conventional. Born and raised in London, Fisher was a rebel from an early age. He was kicked out of Cub Scouts, Hebrew school, high school, and later seemed to have lost his way in the London party scene. Fisher worked numerous jobs before stumbling into a commercial acting agency at the age of 28. He had headshots taken, and within a week, landed two television spots and a national commercial.

Fisher made his way out to Hollywood and landed his first big role in the 2004 Blockbuster hit, National Treasure. Since then, Fisher has been a supporting actor in hit movies and TV shows, including The Dark Knight Rises, NCIS and 24.

In true actor fashion, Fisher kept himself busy in other ways when he wasn’t on set. In 2005, he began to paint his own improvised style of abstract art. Known for his unique play of colors and textures, Fisher makes each painting a compelling fusion of hues.

Manifest, Fisher’s upcoming art exhibition on December 6, will be a display of deep textures and bold colors in acrylic on canvas. Hosting the event is Wanderlust Hollywood, a unique yoga center that frequently holds meditation classes, film screenings, wine tastings and jewelry making events. Wanderlust is as unique and colorful as Fisher’s works of art.

The free event will take place from 6:34-9:34pm. In addition to one-of-a-kind paintings for sale, guests will enjoy tasty treats and wine, and sounds from singer and multi-instrumentalist Sheela Bringi.

When Fisher is not hard at work creating art (or writing another children’s book or appearing in popular television shows or films), you’ll find him hiking the great outdoors with his two rescue pups. And to benefit homeless animals in Los Angeles, a portion of the evening’s proceeds on December 6 will benefit The Tailwaggers Foundation, a local LA charity that provides funding to non-profits that care for sick and injured animals.

David Fisher has come a long way since his younger years, and some may say he is now a force to be reckoned with. His desire to do things his own way is clearly displayed by his unconventional artistic style. Both an artist and a humanitarian, Fisher should not only be admired for his talent and his creativity, but also for his willingness to use his success to benefit an amazing cause.
