The Decadence of "The Taste" of L.A.
Enjoying the sights, sounds, elegant atmosphere, and delectable dishes created by master chefs and innovative cocktail culture

The stunning culture-rich environment of this year’s 5th Annual Los Angeles Times “The Taste” was an unprecedented success. Held at Paramount Pictures Studios, this event was highlighted by world renowned & local master chefs, who offered a delectable sampling of their dishes. Considered by some to be a top Foodie festival yet the improvements made in recent years have created a lovely, cool environment to escape the summer sun while enjoying various delectable culinary specialties. This included a tantalizing look at innovative cocktail culture gaining popularity. It’s much more than your average foodie festival in cuisine and a casual yet elegant atmosphere.
Friday’s opening festivities were highlighted by world renowned chefs offering delectable signature dishes with an opportunity to socialize with the Times’ hosts & co-hosts in a casual setting where they shared their expertise in preparation & presentation while being entertained by the live music of Black Crystal Wolf Kids. Many guests purchase books by their favorite chefs to have them happily autographed at the event.
As usual, indulgence in taste sensations is the order of the day, when surrounded by L.A.’s Crem-de-la’crem in culinary delights & tantalizing beverages from these epicurean masters. The spotlight of the event was Chaya Restaurants, by far the most tantalizing entree offering. If one was in a more casual culinary mood, The Counter was the clear winner. Their popular & unequaled slider burgers aroma called to you no matter where you were walking. The long line at Pinche’s Tacos was understandable given the delicious variety of favorites available for sampling. The most intriguing beverage offering came from Kooksoondang with the most outstanding wine served at their popular booth. The varied flavors of Korean wines brewed in Environmentally Friendly facilities are rapidly capturing the hearts of not only Korean consumers but is causing palates all over the world to take notice.
