CLIMB FOR LIFE

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's first annual Climb for Life is set for Saturday, December 4, 2010, where the intrepid will climb 49 stories. Climbers will include everyone from elite racers to novice stair steppers. Just make it to the top, and you can celebrate with food, drinks and entertainment.

while definitely fun -- not to mention great exercise -- the Climb for Life is meant to draw attention to something very serious: how difficult it is for many CF patients to take even one breath. Cystic Fibrosis is North America's number one genetic killer of children and young adults. It affects the lungs, pancreas and digestive system, causing life-threatening infections and premature death. More than 10 million Americans, or one in 30, are unknowing carriers of the CF gene. The median age of survival for a person with CF is in the mid-30s.

So lace up your running shoes, stretch those hamstrings and register now!
