Eveleigh Owner to Open New Restaurant

Eveleigh owner Nick Mathers and his associates plan to open a new restaurant in February, a block outside West Hollywood's southwest border.

The new dining spot, called Goldie's, is to be located at 8422 3rd St., just east of La Cienega Boulevard.

"The main premise behind the place was not to reinvent but just remind people of the amazing produce they have here in California," Executive Chef Thomas Lim said.

"The food at Goldie's will have a firm emphasis on Californian produce executed with strong technique and simplicity," according to a job posting on the Eater website seeking a sous chef and cooks.

Goldie's will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Lim said.

Eveleigh, located at 8752 Sunset Blvd., opened in 2010. The bistro serves French-inspired cuisine, a wide variety of wines and specialty cocktails.
