Excerpt 1 (from: tent. title: Project Earth)

Tentative Title: Project Earth (altern. titles: The Fallen and Forgiven/ Pushing for Paradise) "...“Okay.” She sighed and sunk down on the trunk of a tree. He looked at his hands, as if suddenly realizing his own heavy breathing and exhaustion, terrified at what he saw. “What… happened to me? Why am I… why are we old?” Paul watched a tear make its way over Esther’s cheek, accumulate at her jaw and then drop down the long fall to her chest where it got sucked up by the fabric of her sweater. “Paul, I don’t know. All I know is that I left you ten years ago, and we haven’t seen each other since then. I went my way, you went yours. You never tried to contact me or get back together. So I assumed you had not forgiven me…” He shook his head, sat down next to her and took her hand in his, his fingers slightly shaking. “I searched for you for as long as I can remember, I have never stopped looking for you!” She looked into his eyes and knew it was true. A wall of tears almost choked her and she covered her face in her hands. Paul continued passionately. “After you left, I was devastated. I looked for answers, and what I found was a way of recreating the past, and reshaping the future according to my will.” She was silently listening to him. Ham had settled down out of ear- reach, watching a deer and its calf in the moonlight. Paul took in the scenery before he continued. “The answers were coming to me like pieces of bait each piece would lead me closer to you. But the more I advanced, the more confusing things got. You appeared to me, I was being told to find a wormhole into another dimension where I would find you. Things were happening so fast, yet, time was standing still.” With compassion she watched him. His hands were gesticulating nervously, and she took his hands in her own to calm them down. “There was an angel or a ghost or a demon, I can’t remember which, who led me through the portals, helped me find them. You appeared to me twice, once alone, and once with another lady, her name was Julia. She was the one who found me last night, out in the field, half dead, she saved me! Where is she now?”..."
