Finding a great personal assistant is easier said than done. There is no shortage of people willing to do the work, of course, but finding a great one is quite expensive.
Because Los Angeles is the world's capital for entertainment, the "celebrity assistants" that work in town are world-class professionals. To be honest, I had no idea that the best assistants can earn six figures -- which I recently read about, OMG!
There are two problems I encountered when I tried to hire a PA: of course you can do it yourself online, but then I found out that a lot of the less-experienced candidates flood my inbox with resumes.
Then I looked into hiring a headhunter, but they want an arm and a leg (20% commission on the assistant's salary).
I've been diligent with homework and I'm trying to find a happy middle.
