Fitness Guru Jackie Warner Pleads Not Guilty To West Hollywood DUI, Assaulting Officer

The TV fitness expert allegedly crashed into an electrical pole in West Hollywood and then backed her vehicle toward a sheriff's deputy.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A former television fitness expert who allegedly crashed into an electrical pole in West Hollywood and then backed her vehicle toward a sheriff's deputy in February pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges including driving under the influence and assaulting a peace officer.

Jacqueline Renee Waddell -- who was known as Jackie Warner on her Bravo TV series "Work Out" -- is charged with one felony count of assault upon a peace officer and one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, driving with a 0.08 percent blood-alcohol content and hit-and-run driving resulting in property damage, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

The 48-year-old West Hollywood woman allegedly smashed her vehicle into an electrical pole near Holloway Drive and Hacienda Place while driving under the influence on Feb. 24, prosecutors said.

She then allegedly drove to a nearby convenience store where a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy tried to detain her, prosecutors said.

Waddell allegedly backed her vehicle toward the deputy before striking the patrol car, according to the District Attorney's Office.

She was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that night and released on bond early the next morning, according to jail records.

If convicted as charged, she could face up to six years in state prison, according to the District Attorney's Office.
