Klowning Around

Imagine Curb Your Enthusiasm as an NC-17 flavored Scandinavian film and you begin to get an idea of Klown. Based on a popular TV show, this seemingly stream-of-consciousness comedy follows two friends run amok in the Danish countryside, plowing through social taboos and unspeakable debaucheries, the results of which are sidesplittingly funny. The Village Voice said, “HANDS DOWN THE FUNNIEST FILM OF THE YEAR…Plays like a superior, and way grosser, version of The Hangover.” Klown plays today at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 and 9 p.m. at the Silent Movie Theatre, 611 Fairfax Avenue.
