Friday's Scoop: 'Million Dollar Decorators' Book Signing, The Parlotones and WHAP!

Two free events are taking place in Weho tonight—one at Book Soup, the other in the new library.

Lecture Series: WHAP!

French and Canadian political commentator Dick Howard and CalArts teacher Martin Plot will lead a panel discussion on "Democracy in America." Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first come first serve basis. Pay parking available at the library parking structure.

Bravo decorators Mary McDonald, Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Kathryn Ireland are coming to at 7 p.m. to discuss and sign their latest books: Ireland's Summers in France, McDonald's Mary McDonald: Interiors: The Allure of Style, and Bullard's Martyn Lawrence-Bullard: Live, Love, and Decorate. The event is free.

  • Brace yourself for a chilly day. Showers are likely, with a possibly thunderstorm after 11 a.m., reports the National Weather Service. The high in West Hollywood will be near 62, with a low hovering around 47. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent, according to NWS, and gusts could reach as high as 15 mph.
