FRIENDS OF THE WEST HOLLYWOOD LIBRARY LAUNCHES FREE CLASSIC MOVIE MATINEE SERIES
His Girl Friday starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell will be the first movie to be screened. Free popcorn and lemonade will be served.

Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, Howard Hawks’ masterpiece screwball comedy His Girl Friday will be the first classic film to be featured in a new afternoon film series, on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
Launched by Friends of the West Hollywood Library, the screenings will be held in the West Hollywood Library Community Room, where free lemonade and popcorn will be served.
“We are very pleased to be sponsoring this exciting new classic film series for the library,” says Friends of the West Hollywood Library President Linda Demmers. “Our goal is to provide ongoing support to the library, which includes both adult and children’s programs.”

The new matinee series will feature a different classic movie on the first Thursday of each month. Victor/Victoria, starring Julie Andrews, Robert Preston and James Garner will be showing on June 4, in celebration of One City One Pride Month.
