Garage Punk Duo, The Two Tens, at Redwood Bar 5/21

Inspired by ‘60s garage and ‘70s punk, The Two Tens create buzzing guitars, big thumping drums and sizzling vocal melodies. The new Los Angeles-based duo consists of guitarist Adam Bones and drummer Rikki Styxx. They’ve released three EP’s in the past year (Volume 1, Volume 2 and Volume 3) and are gaining recognition with rave reviews. The Huffington Post applauded their single “Scene” calling it “garage punk at its best.” Last November, the band was selected as Deli Magazine’s Los Angeles “Band of the Month” and top Los Angeles music blog Grimy Goods acclaims the duo’s live show as “nothing short of a robust performance.” Recently, they played at SXSW and Los Angeles Magazine declared the band as one of the festival’s must-see acts.
