GBK Brand Bar 15th Annual Oscars Gift Lounge

Kimpton La Peer hosts luxury West Hollywood event

Viola Davis, Kevin Pollack and Jesse Metcalf were a few of the celebrities, in attendance, at GBK Brand Bar’s 15th annual Oscars gift lounge. The West Hollywood event, celebrating the 95th Academy Awards, featured exotic trips, elegant jewelry, intelligent lighting and other one-of-a-kind products.

The Artisan Group showed off their handcrafted jewelry, bath and spa products, paper goods and other unique accessories from talented artisans across the globe. Favorites included the black adjustable crossbody strap from Isidora Designs, Alali Vitamin C Serum from Tari Skincare, the Connemara Marble necklace from Celtic Inspired Jewelry and the inspirational journal from Bohozena.

GE Lighting brought lots off smiles with their Smart lights, including their peel-and-stick Dynamic Effects Smart Light Strip. You can lighten up your room – while you’re home or away – creating dynamic light shows via the Cync App (with over 16 million colors!) and allows music syncing too. What will they think of next!

Artist Jeff Nishinaka showcased his handmade, multi-dimensional paper sculptures, in which he meticulously crafted, in Los Angeles. Beginning with just few simple tools (a pencil, X-acto knife, wood dowel, tweezers, glue and an eraser) he is able to bring his ideas to life. His work has been featured in galleries and art displays around the world but you can also see his work in ad campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Lexus, MGM Studios and United Airlines, among others.

RENPHO introduced their affordable, Smart lifestyle products that provide technologically advanced solutions for enhancing people’s health and wellness. The Eye Massager, Massage Gun and Smart Scales were just a few of their innovative products at the lounge.

Lush Africa Safaris wowed guests with personalized luxury safaris to their East Africa destinations and Sailrock Resort also made a splash, with stays at their award-winning, boutique, 5-star luxury resort, in Turks & Caicos (in a private villa, set alongside pristine, secluded beaches!).

Kämē Bodywork helps to improve posture, treat pain, restore joint mobility and reset musculoskeletal imbalances, and lucky guests at GBK Brand Bar received a 90-minute, at-home, intuitive bodywork therapy experience.

Cardinal Du Four Armagnac introduced their 21 Rébellion, which combines aromas of jasmine and iris followed by gingerbread spices entwined with dried fig, caramelized apples and toasted wood vanilla flavors – an elegant spirit, finished with notes of cacao beans and salted caramel.

Lorenzi Estate Vineyards & Winery, set on a 16-acre estate in Temecula, pleased palates with their vegan, award-winning wines (created in the most sustainable way possible).

AXR also introduced their CA wines, handcrafted by winemaker Jean Hoefliger at his Napa Valley estate.

Guests also received tastings from El Cristiano, a premium (and zero additive), award-winning tequila – made by third generation master tequila makers who focus on harvesting only mature agave that is aged at least six years and of certain size.

Other lounge favorites included Netvue, a technology-innovative company that introduced Birdfy, their super cool smart bird feeder camera; money clips and fresh water pearls from Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry; portable infrared gas grills from Schwank Grills; and the Hair Strand Analysis Kit from MYAVANA, that lets you experience a digital hair profile of recommended products and regimens for your hair.

Yummy treats included Ike’s Love & Sandwiches and CORE Foods plant-based snacks and nutrition bars.

This year’s event benefited Childhelp, a nonprofit organization dedicated to prevention and treatment of child abuse.
