Heat Wave to Keep West Hollywood Toasty Until Wednesday
A number of L.A. County communities are expected to hit temperatures in the low 90s, the National Weather Service said.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Forecasters said temperatures of 15-20 degrees above normal would keep the Southland toasty Wednesday, when a number of L.A. County communities are expected to hit temperatures in the low 90s, the National Weather Service said.
"It's rather unusual though not unprecedented," said NWS meteorologist Andrew Rorke, attributing the expected high heat to high pressure and Santa Ana winds.
The NWS forecast cloudy skies in L.A. County Monday and highs of 73 at LAX; 74 in Avalon; 77 in Mount Wilson; 78 in Palmdale and Lancaster; 79 in Long Beach and downtown L.A.; 82 in San Gabriel, Burbank, and Saugus; 84 in Pasadena; and 86 in Woodland Hills.

Sunny skies were forecast in Orange County, along with highs of 71 in Newport Beach; 72 in Laguna Beach and San Clemente; 79 in in Irvine; 80 in Anaheim and Mission Viejo; 81 in Fullerton; and 82 in Yorba Linda.
Temperatures will rise several degrees Tuesday, hitting the low 90s in several communities in inland Orange County and L.A. County valley areas, and by several more degrees on Wednesday, when several more communities will hit the 90s as well.

Wednesday's expected highs include 92 downtown L.A., Long Beach. San Gabriel, and Burbank; 93 in Pasadena, Yorba Linda, Anaheim and Fullerton; 94 in Woodland Hills; and 95 in Irvine and Mission Viejo.
