The Wiltern, a historic theater venue on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, is hosting some upcoming events you will not wish to miss, including anniversary bashes for The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" and Cheech & Chong's "Up in Smoke," plus swing-dancing sessions with lessons.
Up in Smoke: 40th Anniversary Summer Smokeout: On Friday, July 27, The Wiltern will screen the movie starring Cheech & Chong. Enjoy the film classic, photo ops and several 420-friendly vendors. Tickets start at ... you guessed it! ... $4.20.

The Beatles’ classic "Yellow Submarine" 50th anniversary will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 2 with the fully restored animated film. Costumes welcomed; sing-alongs expected.
A swingin’ summer returns to The Wiltern on July 15, Aug. 19 and a September date to be determined. Learn to jump and jive from professionals and show off your moves to the tunes of live bands.

Built in 1931, The Wiltern, at 3790 Wilshire Blvd., was originally designed as a vaudeville theater and initially opened as the Warner Brothers Western Theater, the flagship for the theater chain. As one of the world’s finest examples of Art Deco architecture, the building is now permanently protected by the Los Angeles Conservancy as a historical landmark.
