The month ,Elul, prior to Rosh Hashanah, has been interpreted as an abbreviation of the phrase “ Ani LeDodi V’ Dodi Li”, “ I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine”( Song of Songs). It is an evocation of the sense of personal longing and affection that Jews would seek to arose at this season of heightened spiritual awareness.

the sessionis open to the public and will be followed by Shabbat services under the auspices of makom la and cantor danny maseng.
