LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle - Playdate

The LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle, a new community for LGBT interfaith couples who are, or are considering, raising Jewish children, will host a family playdate at Plummer Park in West Hollywood, CA on Sunday, June 29th from 10:00am to 11:30am. Families will have the opportunity to
meet other LGBT interfaith parents raising Jewish children, and learn about upcoming free programs from the LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle. Snacks, games, and childcare will be provided.

The LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle is a new community being piloted in the Los Angeles area thanks to a generous grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles. The program will provide free information sessions, classes, resources, and events for LGBT interfaith couples
raising, or considering raising, Jewish children from throughout the Los Angeles area. Created by Big Tent Judaism, a national trans-denominational non-profit based in New York City that seeks to open the tent of the North American Jewish community for all who wish to enter it, the program is
the first of its kind in the country. Sessions cover topics such as creating a Jewish home, navigating Jewish life cycle events, and celebrating Jewish holidays as an LGBT interfaith family.

In addition to the June 29th playdate, the LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle will host another playdate on Sunday, July 20th (location TBA), as well as two family information groups, one on Monday July 7th and one on Monday July 14th, led by LGBT Interfaith Parents Circle facilitator Rabbi Heather Miller.
