WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - A 35-year-old man was being held without bail Friday, accused of clubbing to death a 30-year-old woman with whom he lived in West Hollywood, authorities said.
Deputies were called about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to the 8500 block of Holloway Drive to check on the woman -- identified as Iana Kasian -- after her mother reported her missing, according to sheriff's Deputy Mike Barraza.
They entered the apartment the woman shared with the suspect, Blake Leibel, who was detained before the woman was found unresponsive in a bedroom, Barazza said. Kasian appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

Leibel was arrested six days before this homicide for an unnamed felony. He posted $100,000 bail and was released, according to L.A. County jail records. He was scheduled to go to court on that arrest in downtown Superior Court on June 17, the jail records show.
