HIs loved ones suspect the attack was a hate crime.

A man found beaten on a Hollywood street about a month ago succumbed to his injuries, authorities said today.

The 36-year-old man, who had suffered “blunt force trauma,” was found on July 7 near the 1100 block of North Citrus Avenue, said coroner’s Chief Craig Harvey. He died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 5 p.m Monday, Harvey said.

Authorities withheld his name pending family notification, but ABC7 identified him as Ramon Estrada, and reported that he had last been seen leaving Gold Coast Bar in West Hollywood to go home.

“He called at about 1:45 in the morning and said, ‘Can you open the door?’ It just sounded normal to me, and 20 minutes later, he was in the ambulance,” Estrada’s partner, Michael Shutt, told the television station.

“Justice needs to be paid,” he said. “I lost my boyfriend of 14 years and my partner, and my life has flipped upside down.”
