Man Killed in Crash that Shut Down Sunset Blvd. in WeHo ID'd
The 45-year-old man died when he somehow lost control, jumped a curb and plowed through a storefront construction area.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - The coroner's office on Sunday released the name of a 45-year-old man who died in a single-car crash in West Hollywood that left a trail of destruction along Sunset Boulevard.
He was identified as Lawrence Simons of Los Angeles.
The crash occurred about 4:20 a.m. Thursday on Sunset near San Vicente Boulevard, according tot he sheriff's department. It closed down a stretch of Sunset for about 11 hours.

The car, a Nissan Altima, was being driven westbound when the driver somehow lost control, jumped a curb, plowed through a storefront construction area, snapped a tree in half and knocked over a parking meter before overturning and slamming roof-first into a utility pole.
Sunset Boulevard was closed between San Vicente Boulevard and Horn Avenue until about 3:15 p.m. while an investigation was conducted.
