Man Shot to Death Outside the Comedy Store on Sunset
A gunman shot the victim repeatedly and then fled on foot.

A man was shot to death outside an entertainment venue in West Hollywood early today.
The shooting in the 8400 block of Sunset Boulevard was reported at 12.49 a.m., said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Juanita Navarre. The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital, she said.
Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Jauch said the victim was shot in front of the Comedy Store by a suspect who wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and ran from the scene. A witness told a news videographer at the scene that he heard five to seven gunshots.

The victim was in his mid-20s, Jauch said.
