National Night Out on Tuesday was a huge success in some West Hollywood neighborhoods, a bust in others, according to some reports. Some parites reported double the number of people attending this year versus last year. "National Night Out is one of my favorite nights of the year," said one resident. "I planned my vacation so I would be back in time for this." Another resident told Weho Patch, "It's always great getting a chance to catch up with my neighbors. But I also get a chance to meet others – people I've seen walking by or getting out of their car, but have never had a chance to chat with until now."   City officials, sheriff's deputies and fire department crew all made the rounds to the parties held around town.
