Superhero Classics
October 4 & 5, 11 & 12; 2:00pm
Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman . . . the “big three” of DC comics, enduring, iconic creations that defined a medium and a genre which, eight decades hence, rules at the box office and drives much of contemporary pop culture. These characters are the classics, and we present their classic television representations: the endearingly cornball Adventures of Superman from the fifties, the sixties Pop Art camp sensation Batman, and the earnest (if awkwardly titled) New Original Wonder Woman of the seventies. Look, up in the sky—holy nostalgia, Batman! That pretty lady’s in an invisible plane!

Screenings: The Adventures of Superman: “Superman on Earth” and “The Perils of Superman;” Batman: “The Purr-fect Crime” and “Better Luck Next Time;” The New, Original Wonder Woman.

Buffy Summers and Dr. Horrible invite you to join them in raising some spirits in song. Then, we present the Halloween episode of the cult classic series Freaks and Geeks.
