Join us for a free community program to discuss the pros and cons of the ballot measures that appear on the November ballot. Since many voters receive their absentee ballots early, this year we are presenting the program in mid-September due to the upcoming High Holidays and the continued requests from the community to help them decide on how to vote and better understand the measures.
Moderater is Stephen F. Rohde, a constitutional lawyer, lecturer and writer. and co-author of Foundation of Freedom, published by the Constitutional Rights Foundation, and has written numerous articles and book reviews on civil liberties and constitutional history; panel will consist of Ann Rushton who is the co-chair of the League of Women Voters Voter Service Committee and; Fran Lapides, a member of the League of Women Voters Voter Service Committee.
For more information or to RSVP, contact Ruth Williams, Director of Advocacy, at 323-852-8503 or ruth@ncjwla.org.
