Rejoice in the Torah at Hollywood Temple Beth El

Hollywood Temple Beth El and the Iranian American Jewish Federation invite the public to join in the Festival of Simchat Torah on Thursday, October 16, at 7:30 PM at 1317 N Crescent Heights Blvd in West Hollywood.

This service adds a new face to the tradition as it will blend East European, Iranian, Middle Eastern and contemporary Israeli melodies, songs and dance into the service mix. Amnon Charosh will lead the processionals on the accordion. This festival marks the conclusion of the annual cycle of the reading of the Five Books of Moses ( the Torah) and is highlighted by a festive seven-fold procession of the Torah scrolls. It comes as a culmination of the festival of Sukkoth that began the previous week.
