Singer Savannah Phillips Talks TMZ, Custom Shoes and Life in Weho
The bubbly 16-year-old is set to perform an all-ages show at the Whisky next month.
At 16, Savannah Phillips is a rising star. She has jammed with a Twilight saga cast member, is sharing the same producer as Miley Cyrus, and will be making her way to the Whisky A Go-Go for an all-ages show on July 16.
Phillips lives in West Hollywood, where she and with her band of talented musicians perform regularly on the Sunset Strip. With a hit song charting on Mediabase, an upcoming summer tour and a custom line of shoes on the way, catching up with this young star is not an easy task.
Patch was fortunate enough to nab a half-hour of Phillips' time to discuss her budding musical career, her new shoe line and how she popped up on TMZ.

West Hollywood Patch: How long have you been performing?
Savannah Phillips: As long as I can remember, I've been singing around the house, but I've been performing professionally for about six years.

Patch: You've bounced around quite a bit. What brought you from Atlanta to West Hollywood?
Phillips: My sister is an actress and we traveled back and forth with her to Los Angeles. I absolutely fell in love with music and I've never left.
Patch: What has been a favorite show you have played in West Hollywood?
Phillips: I actually have two favorite shows. I did a show on my best friend’s 16th birthday, which was so much fun, and the other one was when I performed with Drew Ryan Scott at .
Patch: Best moment of your singing career?
Phillips: I had an amazing time recording my last EP with producer Aris Archontis. I could not believe I was working with the same producer who produced some of my favorite artists like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas.
Patch: We heard a rumor that you were recently on TMZ. Tell us about that.
Phillips: I did a performance in support of Healthy Kids Day for the YMCA and little did I know that TMZ was there. The next night, we turned on TMZ and there I was.
Patch: You've managed to accomplish a lot at such a young age. What exciting things are on the horizon?
Phillips: I'm doing some big shows in Louisiana and Florida this summer with Summer Jam Tour. Also, my song "Party in the Car" is No. 78 on the Mediabase chart.
Patch: What is your favorite thing about living and performing in West Hollywood?
Phillips: I love going to concerts, and luckily, all of my favorite artists perform on Sunset, which is right down the street from my house. It's so cool that I'm getting the opportunity to perform at the same places.
Patch: You have a line of shoes coming out soon through one of your sponsors. What can fans expect from those?
Phillips: I'm working with the coolest shoe company, Gotta Flurt. They have awesome shoes that I wear pretty much every day. I'm currently creating my very own line of shoes with them. They will be out this summer, so make sure you go get a pair.
Patch: Tell us about jamming with Boo Boo Stewart in Vegas.
Phillips: I was in Vegas for the Magic Show promoting our new line of shoes at Gotta Flurt, and while I was playing my guitar, Boo Boo came up and we jammed together. It was so awesome. He's so talented.
Patch: Why should people come check out a live Savannah Phillips show?
Phillips: Because it’s the best time you will ever have in your entire life. I love to joke around with people in the audience. I try to make my shows as fun and intimate as possible even if it's in front of a large crowd.
