Suge Knight Sues Chris Brown Over WeHo Club Shooting

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Marion "Suge" Knight sued singer Chris Brown and the owners of a nightclub Monday over an incident at a 2014 party hosted by Brown and singer Pia Mia Perez in which the former rap mogul says he was shot numerous times and wounded.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, naming as defendants Brown, Perez and 1 Oak, an establishment located in West Hollywood. The suit alleges premises liability and negligence, and it seeks unspecified damages.
A representative for Brown could not be immediately reached.

The suit states that Knight was shot in his abdomen, chest and left forearm the night of Aug 23-24, 2014. The suit alleges Brown "was a known gang associate with a history of violence and had a well-documented track record of hosting events and/or parties in which violence frequently erupted."

The club, Brown and Perez had an obligation to patrons to provide adequate security, the suit states.
