Sunday's Scoop: Clue Staged Reading, Historic Preservation, Farmers' Market

Jon Cryer and other comedy stars perform "Clue: A Staged Reading" at Largo. The new West Hollywood Historic Preservation group meets and the farmers' market gathers at Melrose Place.

Get a Clue

Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick. The whodunit board game “Clue” comes to life with the staged reading of a play based on the characters and situations of the popular game. hosts this staged reading featuring well known comedy stars including Jon Cryer, Andy Richter, Colin Hanks, Jack McBrayer, Sara Rue and Casey Wilson. The murderous fun starts at 8:30 p.m.

The newly formed holds its second official meeting at noon at the building, 1296 N. Fairfax Avenue. Among the items scheduled for discussion are voting on an official name for the group as well as a mission statement. All are invited to attend.

It may not have all the drama of the 1990s campy nighttime soap opera, but the does have lots of fresh produce for sale. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the certified market is a popular destination for locals looking to stock up on fresh items to start the week. The market is located on Melrose Place (just off Melrose Avenue) between Orlando Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard.

  • Miguel with Jhene Aiko at Key Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show at 7 p.m.
  • Cerdafied with Special Power, Black Heart Vacancy, Don Gator Band and Them Devils at the Viper Room. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
  • Consume the Fire with the Inner Bright, Embrace the Confusion, Zeal Empire and Soulbleed at Whisky a Go Go. Doors open at 8 p.m.
  • Secret Sundayz at Key Club. Show at 10 p.m.
