Suspects in Stolen Car Lead Police on Chase from Bell Gardens to West Hollywood

The California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit when it got on freeways and took the men into custody at the end, police said.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Two men in a Honda Accord reported stolen led police on a pursuit from Bell Gardens to the Sunset Strip area in West Hollywood, authorities said Monday.

Officers began pursuing the sedan at 10:47 p.m. Sunday at Gage Avenue and Chalet Drive, said Bell Gardens police Sgt. D. Neslen.

As seen from television news helicopters, the pursuit went from Bell Gardens to South Pasadena to downtown Los Angeles and west to the Sunset Strip area where two men bailed out of the car and one was quickly stopped by a police dog. The other man was arrested outside a hotel.
