Tree Topples onto Tesla on Sunset Boulevard

A tree toppled onto a Tesla automobile on Sunset Boulevard in Westwood and slightly injured the driver and a passenger, authorities said today.

The accident took place about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the 10500 block of Sunset Boulevard, near Beverly Glen Boulevard, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries, he said.

A videographer at the scene said the tree hit the Tesla as it was heading eastbound. The tree hit the roof and cracked the windshield, the videographer said.
