West Hollywood Crash Victim Identified

Authorities today identified a man who died at a hospital after crashing his vehicle into a parked crane near a construction site in West Hollywood.

The crash occurred in the 8400 block of Sunset Boulevard about 4:15 a.m. Monday, the sheriff’s department reported.

Brandon Gonzalez, 21, died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. His home town was not known, Winter said.

A section of Sunset Boulevard was closed in the area for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
