West Hollywood Teams Up with Drag Queens for World's Best PSA
"Duh, don't you know? La Cienega is totally closed between Fountain and Sunset right now."

To help spread the word about road work impacting traffic around the Sunset Strip, the city of West Hollywood enlisted the help of “drag sensations” William Belli and Bianca Del Rio, along with other local performers, who produced a series of comedic videos titled “The WeHoans,” based on the “Saturday Night Live” skit called “The Californians.”
In over-the-top soap-opera style, the videos discuss the road closure and ways to navigate through the area.

Some motorists in West Hollywood already met with the key road closure today, as work on a roughly month-long utility project forced the shut-down of La Cienega Boulevard between Fountain Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.
The closure is expected to continue until mid-September.

The project includes burial of high-voltage electrical lines along La Cienega, along with storm drain and other utility construction as part of a high-rise retail, hotel and residential project on the southeast and southwest corners of La Cienega and Sunset.
Actual construction work will only be done during daylight hours, to prevent overnight noise for nearby residents and hotel guests. West Hollywood officials stressed that the Sunset Strip will remain open during the work.
Local access will also be maintained for the Sunset Marquis hotel and residential buildings along La Cienega.
