Woman Arrested for Embezzling More Than $800,000

Donna Glenn Walker, 57, is being held on suspicion of embezzling from a West Hollywood post-production company.

An Oxnard woman suspected of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from a West Hollywood business was in custody in the Southland Wednesday following her arrest in Florida, authorities said.

Donna Glenn Walker, 57, was arrested earlier this month in Winter Haven, Fla., after prosecutors in Los Angeles County filed a five-count felony complaint alleging she embezzled at least $812,000 from Danetracks, Inc., a West Hollywood post-production sound facility, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Peter Gomez.

The suspected grand theft was reported in 2008 by the owner of the business, where Walker was vice president, Gomez said.

As Detective Simeon Plyler of the sheriff's Commercial Crimes Bureau began investigating the case and a search warrant was served at Walker's Oxnard residence, authorities came to believe she had left the state, he said. She was later located in Florida, where authorities arrested her on the Los Angeles County warrant.

Walker was returned to Los Angeles on Friday and arraigned on grand theft charges, Gomez said. She is in custody at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood in lieu of $812,000 bail.
