A 76-year-old man riding a 2017 Triumph motorcycle was killed when a fender bender pushed a truck into his pathway.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities Monday identified a 76-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in the Topanga area.

Charles O'Connell of Topanga died at a hospital of injuries he suffered in the crash, which occurred about 11 a.m. Saturday on Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Woodland Crest Drive, according to the coroner's office and the California Highway Patrol.

O'Connell was riding a 2017 Triumph motorcycle north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard when a pickup truck that was southbound on Topanga Canyon Boulevard and turning left onto Woodland Crest Drive was rear-ended by a van, which propelled the pickup into the path of the motorcycle, the CHP reported.
