2 Dogs Killed In Woodland Hills Kitchen Fire

Three dogs suffered smoke inhalation and two didn't recover, officials said.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Two dogs were killed and one was treated for smoke inhalation from a kitchen fire that broke out at a house in Woodland Hills Saturday.

The fire was reported at 2:27 p.m. Saturday at 20740 W. Exhibit Place, north of Oxnard Street, according to spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters put out the small kitchen fire in 15 minutes and all human occupants got out of the single-story home without injury, Lantz said.

Three dogs suffered smoke inhalation and two didn't recover, she said. One was treated on the scene by paramedics.
