Body of Cuba Gooding Sr. Found in Woodland Hills: Reports
Police have yet to confirm if Cuba Gooding Jr.'s father was in fact found dead Thursday.
WOODLAND HILLS, CA -- A body -- possibly the father of Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. -- was found today inside a car in Woodland Hills.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a body was discovered in a car about 1:10 p.m. in the 22100 block of Ventura Boulevard, but released no additional details.
Various news agencies reported that the body was that of 72-year-old Cuba Gooding Sr., but police did not immediately confirm it.

Several outlets said the death was being investigated as a possible overdose and that Gooding was found slumped over the wheel of a parked Jaguar sedan.
Coroner's investigators were summoned to the scene, police said.

Gooding was lead singer of the soul group The Main Ingredient and sang the 1972 hit, "Everbody Plays the Fool."
