The incident triggered alarms, alerting the phones of the store’s owners, who watched as the situation unfolded, at one point speaking to the thief directly through the security system, warning him that police had been called, NBC LA reported.
The burglary was the store’s second in less than a year, according to KTLA, which reported the business was also targeted six months ago.
